"I juice vegetables twice daily in this machine, which I have had for about seven months. If you have never juiced, it might take some getting used to as far as cleaning, but we find it routine and not a "big deal."
Everything disassembles easily. The pulp goes right into the container and then we put it into our composter. So, if you are new to juicing you might have two hurdles here: One, getting to know the machine, as in how to assemble it and Two, making the cleanup seem a routine procedure. Juicing in general is more effort than I think most Americans are used to, but the payoff in nutrition is invaluable. Again, once you juice regularly, the cleanup becomes a routine task, well worth the benefit to your health.
We rarely use the dishwasher to clean it, as we are afraid the high heat might age the plastic parts prematurely. Just a plastic brush on the blade, and soap and sponge on the rest. The Lalanne machine has held up well and does not heat the juice at all during the processing."
