A Great Dissapointment

"I've had other George Foreman Grill models and felt confident ordering this particular model. Unfortunately, I must say that this model is a great dissapointment.
Everything sticks to the supposed "non-stick" plates. Have plenty of oil or spray on hand before you try cooking anything on it!
The grill feature is horrible. The continueous temperature is vitually uncontrolable. It heats up to a certain temperature but does not continue to re-heat itself unless I unplug it and then plug it back in.
The waffles stick so badly - even with cooking oil spray - that they are not ediable.
If you want waffles, just buy a tridational waffle iron. You'd be much happier with it.
If you want a Geore Foreman Grill, but a less expenisve model and save your money."

"Ordered this to replace my original George Foreman that we have enjoyed for many years. My daughter moved into her first apartment and took my original with her. My husband said that if she was taking that one, we had to have a new one. Well this is awesome! I love that the plates are removeable and the temperature control is nice too!"

"As a single working mom, I find this grill a blessing. My teen daughter and I have been using this grill every day since we received it and that was close to 2 months ago. Our first George Foreman. We've cooked various food items, meats and chicken even with the bone in and it cooked well. The best part of this grill is that all of the fat drains from your food items. I found that like any other grill,oven, etc. you must watch your food items and adjust the temperature as needed. If you cook on high or do not monitor the cooking you will end up with dried out and rubbery food but that's not the grill's fault. Clean up is a breeze. We spray lightly with olive oil cooking spray while warming. We love it."

13 Minutes to bake one Waffle 'til Brown....

"Last year I gave this George Foreman Grill with the Interchangeable Plates as a Gift for my Daughter & Son-In-Law to use during their upcoming move out of state. At that time they expected to stay in a residence type inn while locating a new job site and buy a home and it would prove to be a useful item in such a setting.
As it turned out "George" had to stay packed away in storage, in it's box for almost a year. "George was finally unpacked a couple of weeks ago. Today, August 8, 2009, "George" made it's debut. Unfortuantely, George proved to be a total flop.
After supposedly reaching the recomended temperature to make waffles (in this case HIGH), it took a minimum of THIRTEEN (13) minutes for every waffle to bake to a very light brown stage. That was bad enough. The waffles were overly dry, they had no taste and all were as tough as shoe leather. At that rate for the family of five, at a minimum it would take 3 hours to make enough waffles tor breakfast.
I cannot see where using this Grill one would be able to grill Kansas City beef patties or even the awsome Kansas City steaks. Patties or steaks, they would be ruined and unfit to eat! More like shoe leather than real shoe leather itself.
We all truly expected more from this "George" as the other models my daughter and I have each owned were wonderful. Most of the reviews for this machine are good, HOWEVER, this particular machine does not fall into that catagory.
It cost way to much to find out this "George" is totally useless. I will attempt to return this machine, but it is way past the 30 day return policy. Therefore, I do not recommend this machine as a gift."

"We have had this since it debuted on QVC last year. We love it ! This is our first George Forman & it has been a lifesaver. We moved to a city that doesn't allow Condos & apts. to have grills on their patios (fire danger,I guess). I was afraid we'd never have grilled foods again. We do London Broil (pretty thick),thick burgers,chicken,
Italian Sausage,hot dogs,pork chops. We couldn't live without this. The removable plates are a must! They go right in the dishwasher. I'm sure you will love this!"

"my husband and I love this it makes great waffles and couldn't believe how good the bacon was on it although you have to use cookie recipe they give you can't use the already made dough from store I would highly recommend this a waffle maker alone is a small fortune and you get so much on this one."

"I have had this grill since it first came out. I bought it to replace my original Foreman grill that I literally wore out.
Cleaning the plates is a breeze since they can come right off and go into the sink.
I have used the waffle grids only once but they worked out nicely; I just don't make waffles very often at my house.

"We had an original George Foreman and we sold it at a yard sale. The fact that you can take the plates off to clean them make all the difference in the world! We make paninni's, grill sausage, chicken breasts and waffles. I have told friends and family about this and so far 5 people have bought it! I would highly recommend it!!!"

"This is my second George Foreman Grill. My other died after 8 years. I like this grill. It is very versatile, but there is one change. My other grill could be set at a specific temperature. It would beep when finished. With this grill and the new 360 grill they offer Low, Medium and High. Now I have to keep track of the time. George Foreman does send comprehensive heat suggestions. The additional plates and the ability to adjust grill tilt make up for the heat change."

"I've had my GEORGE FOREMAN for a year now. I ordered the red one to match my other red appliances in my kitchen. I've had no problems with my GEORGE FORMAN. I cook 4 hamburger patties and 4 strips of bacon at one time. This is a time saver and it does not warm up the kitchen. Clean up is a breeze."

"The Geo Foreman grill is awesome because it cooks food fast and yet seals in the juice. In only minutes can a burger or fish filet be ready to serve! And it is super easy to clean afterwards. Great product!"

"I used this 4 nights in a row as soon as I received it. I may never use my stove again. It is fabulous. It gets hot fast, no problem with plates not staying fast and it just does everything so quick and the clean up is easy. This is excellant for people who have busy lives. Just love it."

"Love this grill...It is so nonstick, cleans up are easy. Food cooks fast. And the versatility makes it a must have in any kitchen. Love the fact you can bake a few cookies and not heat up the large oven. Only flaw...YES the paint finish around the dial in far less than perfect. Bubbles are visual out of the box and I'm sure missing paint will follow, but don't effect the way it cooks so far anyway?"

"I have had this grill for about 3 weeks now and have cooked burgers a few times made waffles and cooked a couple of steaks and I am so happy with this grill I have an older George Foreman with the bun warmer loved the way it cooked but cleanup was very time consuming and this alone kept that grill in the bottom of the cabinet Not so with the new George cleanup is a snap I slip the grills in the sink run a little warm water over them and come back a little later and wipe them clean this was one of my better buys from QVC I would give this a 5 plus"

"Don't like it, don't like it, don't like it. The grates are too loose and don't think it gets hot enough because the grate are not permanent. Would not recommend it. It was too late to return or I would have returned it. Go back to the original, which I loved."

"I bought this grill a few months ago. Worked fine for a little while, then one of the spring latches on the bottom grill plate seized. It couldn't latch to the unit anymore. I called the manufacturer, they gave me an excuse saying they were bought out by another company recently and couldn't send me the new bottom grill plate. I've called them on several occasions and they keep giving me excuses. Problem is still not solved to this day."

"I love this grill and use it at least 3 times a week. However, over a period of time - less than a year - the paint has bubbled and chipped off the unit. I like the grill so much, I'm going to order another one knowing it will probably happen again."

"First item bought from QVC. We use it it almost everyday, love the versatility! One day I can grill burgers and hot dogs, next day I can make a complete breakfast all using the same appliance. Cleaning is a breeze, love the almost no mess factor! My brothers weddings coming up, I will be getting him one of these!"
