"I purchased the steamer and after approximately one month it stopped spraying water. For what I payed for it, it's not worth half of that amount. I would not recommend this product at all, you would be better purchasing the cheaper model that is not a proheat, that one is much more reliable and does a good job."

"This is the second Bissell Proheat I've owned in as many years. You would think I would have learned the first time around. It definitely cleans Very well - for 2 cleanings - then the suction and sprayer stops. Yes, I followed all directions and made sure to clean it up as soon as possible to insure the shampoo/water dirt did not dry out in the front plate. Parts were ordered for repair - but even after ALL parts were replaced - it still doesn't work. (Actually both of the machines had the same problem, so it must be in workmanship.) I thought I could save money instead of calling in professionals, but for the price ... the professionals are cheaper...and I can enjoy THEIR hard work while sipping on a cup of coffee ! NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY.
(And as another reviewer reported, it is NOT convenient to drive 2 hours, leave the machine, wait a week or two, and get popped with a hundred dollar repair bill. Just make a better product!)"

"I purchased this steamer last February 08. It really worked great at first. I loved it. But after using it a few times it lost it's suction power. It quit working two weeks after the warranty expired. So I called the 800 service repair number and she told me that I had to take it to a town that was two hours from where I live to get it repaired. So I went and purchased a Hoover Steam Cleaner instead."

"I have not had a chance to try this product yet because the first thing I was going to do with it was to clean my sofa myself instead of paying a service. To my disappointment the only tool I received was the 3" stain brush, I found out I have to order the tools I need through Bissell. I thought the price of this unit warranted the upholstery tools. I had a Hoover steam cleaner before, paid less for it, and received the tool package with it. I read the reviews for this model and thought I would try it to compare with the Hoover I had, I guess I should have stuck with the Hoover brand.

"After 35 years of purchasing several machines, a machine that REALLY cleans stubborn stains and heavy traffic areas. With two dogs, I was ready to get rid of my area rug, when I purchased this carpet steamer. Stains came out that I had tried to remove forever. My carpet actually looks brand new. I also highly recommend "Bissell Fiber Cleanser". I was truly amazed how clean the rug came out and it smells so nice. There is also an easy to use attachment for carpeted stairs. Just purchased it for my daughter in law for Christmas. She loves it too."

"I had gotten this for my home, about 4 months ago.
having a very old dog -that with all the dog accidents and calling the carpet cleaning place to come and clean, got to be too expensive, so investing in this paid for it's self already. My carpets came out so very nice the first time around, One of my daughters lives in a near by town and wanted to borrow it, I prefered that I do the carpets myself for her since I was already familiar with the process, so she said she had a couple of coffee stains, that she was sure wouldn't come out, they seemed set. she also had two dogs, no pet stains , just shedding problems. I was surprise how the hair collected, not in the tank but as a clunk that you picked up and trashed. We worked our way through the house I did spent a few more minutes on those coffee spots and we were both surprised that they came out after all that time being set. And the hair that came out of the carpet, and we did a little upholstrey cleaning. One word to describ the end results. WOW... So to make a long story short, she said - she wanted this for her birthday present. This is easy to work, the loading of water and solution is so easy and quick. the clean up is a breeze. I recommend this to any and all. great for family with pets."
