The extended-surface, washable HEPA-type filter is designed to remove up to 99% of airborne pollutants for easier breathing and lasts up to 3 years with a lifespan of8 washings in a normal enviromental condition. Don't Buy This One!

"We purchased this product in March 2007 -- after reading about the 'wash-type' filter I wanted to have another filter on hand so that I would not be without the air cleaner whilst the filter was drying [which took 2 full days to dry for us]!
I first came back to QVC - no filter available -- I then went to the website of Amcor -- no filter available for this model -- I called the number supplied in the 'owner's manual that comes with the machine.
The female who answered the phone at the Amcor call center did not know what I was talking about and asked me where I had gotten her number from? She then said that she would send a message about the filters to the 'corporate' office -- she took my name, address and phone number -- we NEVER HEARD FROM HER OR ANYONE ELSE AGAIN!
By the middle of June, I decided to address my concerns directly to the company address in the owner's manual -- to Date -- Still NO REPLY!
By June the filter on our machine needed to be washed - I washed the filter as the manual instructed -- the plastic parts on the filter bottom one - by - one snapped in two - I attempted to glue them back -- would not work!
So, now I have an air cleaner without a filter -- NO WAY to get another filter for it -- other than buying a whole new machine!!!!
In our opinion quality control sure did not work at QVC on this one -- and customer service at Amcor DOES NOT EXIST!
Since it has now gone past the time that we could return this item, we have just thrown our money away -- just thought that others should be 'warned' not to do the same!"
