Amcor H117459 - Amcor 2000 Ionizer & Air Purifier with Washableilters
The Amcor 2000 AM-60 model features a five-stage washable pre-filter for enhanced particle trapping. Its post-ionization function enriches the air with negative ions and helps remove airborne pollutants. Also included are a 95% efficient HEPA-type filter and a scent cartridge. Measures 17-3/4" x 10-1/2" x 8-1/2". While air cleaners may reduce particles and allergens in the air, allergic symptoms are caused by a variety of sources. Therefore, this product is not meant to treat or mitigate any medical condition. Please consult your physician. UL listed. 1-year Limited Manufacturer's Warranty. Made in China.

"I turned this off for two days and came back in the room I had placed it in...amazing. I missed the "cleaned" air. I was going to give this unit to my sister, but I knew I could not do with out it...so I ordered her a new one. It is so amazing what clean air smells like. And oh yeah the scent cartridge...barey noticeable.... Unless you knew you put in the scent cartridge~~~~~~what more can I say. Hey AMCOR! can you make a whole system for my house instead of this room by room design??"

"have used the unit for a month now. it is fabulous! it stopped my husbands snoring and the air in the room smelled so fresh. we live in a one bedroom apartment with a cat. and the air is fresh. no cat smell. will order another for the living room as soon as we can. you wont regret the purchase."

"I love my amcor ! Best Ionizer around. I have one I got from QVC 10 years ago & it's still working fine. I have more pets now & wanted another one. This one is a 3 speed, my older model is only a 2 speed. Very quiet when on the lowest speed for sleeping. I just love it. Highly recommend this unit."

"Just received mine today and was thrilled when I opened the box. Long gone are the filters on the grocery list if you can remember at that. It has a most wonderful white noise for sleeping and will be easy to pack when we travel. I don't like to sleep in rooms without an Air Purifier."

"I have two of these purifiers and I really like them. They are used in the bedrooms and provide a nice "white noise" for sleep as well as cleaning the air. The best part is that they don't require expensive replacement filters - all you need to do is rinse them, let them air dry and they are ready to go again! I would recommend this product. We have allergies and asthma and it really helps. Great product and excellent value!"

"I kind of like this and it seems to get the smell out. Mostly it moves the air around in my living room. I think it does make a difference but I was hoping for a more drastic change."

"I have had this unit about a year..I have sinus problems...today I woke up stuffy...I had washed my washable filters yesterday and was waiting for them to dry to replace..so last night I slept without my amcor running..big difference ! I also like the white noise this makes ..helps me sleep better also."

"If this hadn't happened to me I may have doubts about this item but here is the 100% true account of my experience. For almost 2 yrs I have had this annoying little cough. It starts as a dry tickling in the back of my throat and unless I pop a cough drop soon turns into coughing. I don't smoke, my home is smoke free, didn't get new carpet, furniture, bedding. Ok, I have an indoor cat but we've had him 14 yrs. I don't think I suddenly became alergic to him. Besides i didn't have any other alergy symptoms. I even went to the doctor had chest x-ray and exam and thankfully all is well; but I still coughed.
Amcor arrived, plugged in at 4pm---STOPPED COUGHING BY MIDNIGHT.
I am not a doctor or scientist so I can only explain this on my terms. I don't know what the specific irritant was but something in the air was an irritant which made me cough. AMCOR removed that irritant--NO MORE COUGHING.
I know QVC makes no medical claims.
It cost me more for chest x-ray and doctor visit than for the Amcor ionizer.
In reading the other reviews, yes, it does make a little sound but it is not loud or disruptive in any way. GREAT PRODUCT."

"I have had these air purifiers now for about 2 months and they work very well at getting the stuff out of the air. However, I have 2 dogs and use the hepa filters but there is none to be found for replacement. It says you can wash the filters, but does not tell you that you CAN NOT wash the hepa filter. Ours were filthy after 2 months and need to be replaced since they cannot be washed. I gave this 3 stars because there is no place to get the replacement filters for the hepa one that cannot be washed so the talk on the TV is incorrect and misleading."

"Ordered 2 units 6 weeks ago to replace old oreck's with the collector cell's. They worked for about 3 yrs., did a great job then quit. too expensive to replace. These Amcor's remove about half the dust with twice the noise. Am sending #2 unit back today. It sounds like an old washing machine on all speeds. Poor quality fans, too much vibration."

"This is one great buy! I have one other air purifier that I paid 4x the money for and this one works as good as that one! Plus the filters are washable!! One of the filters you hand wash and the other goes in the dishwasher every couple of months! How easy is that and think of the money it saves you in the long road compared to most other purifiers that you have to buy all those filters for! I am a smoker and I keep this one in close proximity to where I smoke and the room use to smell so stuffy and musty and that "old smoke" smell in the morning was bad, but now what a difference!!! It is so nice to wake up to fresh, and light air in my living room! Great product!"

"I liked how the air felt and smelled with this unit running, but I bought it to help with my husband's cat allergies and he claimed not only did it not help, but he thinks it made it worse. Whatever... back it went."

"I must order another! For the price of this purifier, you can NOT go wrong. I have used this for over a month in my living room. I am a smoker...ick, I know. When I came down the hall in the morning, I used to smell the stale smoke, and it really bothered me. I order one from QVC, that was a tower type, that simply made no difference. This one runs 24/7 on low and does a superior job. I hope to order at least 2 more, one for my home office and one for my bedroom. I had been using a very small fan at night, for the "white noise" but I might as well have something that cleans the air. Runs quietly, a bit louder on high, but not distracting."

"This was shipped only yesterday and I got it today, WOW....And it came just at the ideal time >after a power outage<. Plugged it in and AAHH what a treat and may I be saying "what a treatment'. I had a smaller unit of this and after years of 24/7 use it went. I am glad I decided for this Amcor 2000, I know this type of quality will serve me for years to come. Thank you Amcor."

"Like another reviewer says, I've had my Amcor for nearly 10 years, and still going strong, runs 24/7 on a low setting. I use the Hepa filters. Sits atop a bookshelf in the living room, looks good, very subtle. Filters smokey air etc.....Buying another one. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!"

"I have an amcor which I purchased over 10 years ago and its still going strong. I just ordered a new one to go in my living room . I just moved to a new apartment and the neighbor across the hall is a heavy smoker. I have been very satisfied with amcor and am sticking with what works for me. I love not having to purchase new filters,"

"Bought this ionizer because the reviews were pretty good, but after using it for a week in a 10x12 room with the door closed, saw no difference in the air quality. Actually made the room feel damp, even the bedding. I have used amcor in the past, but it has been quite a few years. Was very disappointed that it didn't work. Will keep on looking for one that works."

"I bought the Amcor 2000 Ionizer & Air Purifier because everyone gave it such great reviews. I used it in my bedroom about 4 feet away from all of my expensive mahogany bedroom furniture. The directions tell you not to have it near TVs, radios, VCRs, metal surfaces, furniture in general (go figure). But then in the next sentence, it states that you can put it on your night stand. (Don't most nightstands have clock radios on them?) Anyway, the purifier left a horrible white residue on my bedroom furniture and on the walls that the purifier was facing. It does say in the book to clean around the "area" once a week, because such a residue will accure, but it was like nothing I have ever seen before. So now I have to scrub my furniture and walls down, lucky me. Also, I do NOT smoke, nor do I have pets. I just wanted "extra" fresh, clean air in my bedroom. So much for that idea."
