have had the first set of clocks I bought for about 4 years and have
never had a problem. When daylight savings time changed, I bought
another set and still have not had a problem.
I know some have had a problem with the alarm and/or the radio, so I
must add that I use ONLY the clock. I have never used the alarm or the
radio.
I like the clock enough that I am about to purchase a third set. If you
want a great, convenient clock, this is a great purchase. I had no
problems changing the time oon the older ones."

"I bought a set of 2 alarm clocks because my original died. These are nice but hard to set because the buttons don't stay down as easily as on the original model. Also, now that the government has changed the dates for DST to start/stop, this clock set itself up an hour in March and again in April and I assume it will do the same when time comes for DST to end. A real pain!"

"I have had this clock for few years. This year daylight savings came early in March & clock still 1hour behind. Also this is a leap year & clock 1 day ahead. Not very happy about that as you can amagine this bother our sleep as we are always worried we will wake up late or what time is it really."

"I have purchased 3 of the clock radios and the 2 that I bought as gifts are working well. The one that I bought for myself quit working on me when I was dusting and I touched the radio and got a static shock and it “fried” the radio. I had the radio for about 2 years when this happened. I just purchased 2 more. I would recommend you really can't beat the price."

"I gave two of these clocks as gifts. One of the people tells me that the alarm has broken after only three months of use. He can barely hear the alarm and has awakened late as a result. The other person doesn't use the alarm so there have been no problems with that clock."

"I bought 2 of these clocks for my teen-aged children. They are absolutly wonderful. Plug it in and the clock sets itself. All they had to do was set the radio to the time needed. Their only complaint is that when the alarm/raido goes off it starts out ok, and gets a little louder the longer it runs. The electric went out for approx 8 hours in our development due to a tranformer blowing, and whn it came back on the radios automatically set itself. Definatly worth the money."

"The one I have is the dual alarm single clock I purchased from the Q about 7 years ago. Still works great, except here in Calif. we have daylight saving time earlier the last couple of years and even setting this Emerson to correct time, I have to wait for the old daylight saving time before it will adjust. I love the clock, but would not be good in harsh winter because it is electric. Need a back up wind up clock./"

"Great to have when the power goes out. Love the large, easy-to-read display. Setting the alarm is a pain. Buttons need to be easier to hold down, and should be able to advance the time by one hour with one tap of a button."

"My family has 4 of these, and they all work wonderfully - we've had them for a few years now. And I read some of the problems other people had, and those can be solved. On our clocks, you can have a buzzer alarm OR the radio alarm. And You do have to select which time zone you are in before it will automatically set the time. They have saved me so many times! I highly recommend them!"

"I hate to hear some of the clocks purchased did not work well for a few people. I have had my set for over 2 years and they have always worked great! I liked mine so much I purchased them for my mother and she loves hers too. Worth giving a try because they are the best alarm clock I have ever had."

"I am dissappointed in these radios...the alarm only works sporatically if you choose the radio setting...the sound comes and goes without the dial being touched. Not worth buying and sending back."

"Have had the clocks for a while, however, I live in an area where we change time. Since the government decided to change the weekend that this happens, the clock still changes at the old time. So really, the automatic time change is of no use now."

"The first clock I plugged in (after reading the directions) did not automatically set to the current time (Eastern Time Zone 2). When I looked at the display, and indicator light came on that reflected a low battery. I took the second clock out of the box and that one worked fine. I will return the clocks even thought I wanted them because I do not have a comfort level keeping a clock that comes directly out of the box with a low battery. I do not recommend this item."

"I purchased these for my bedroom and the spare bedroom. I got really tired of being woke up by the radio blaring! I am down to 1 of these clock radios now due to the volume control. I would suggest that you look for something else!"

"Everything is good, except for the volume switches. When turning up or down for the radio, it is full of static while moving it. But I bought it for the alarm, so I didn't return it. It was Chrismas for the kids, and they already have stereos. I splurged and got the Bose."

"I bought these radios back in Oct 2006, and actually didn't begin using them until quite a few months later. That was a huge mistake. The buttons are so hard to hold down while setting the alarm. I honestly cannot imagine trying to set this alarm clock if you have even the slightest bit of arthritis in your hands. I haven't had any of the other operational problems mentioned in other reviews, but I truly wish I had opened them earlier so I would have had the opportunity to send them back."

"Well, I'm not sure what problems everyone is having but my clocks work just fine. I have the previous version of these for about two years. My cat knocked mine off of my table and it broke. So, I decided to order two more. I absolutely LOVE the alarm setting. It starts out really, really low (but it's enough to wake you) and then the volume starts going up on it's own. It's a very gentle way of waking you. And, if you don't hear the lower volume, it can get LOUD! The fact that it can constantly re-set itself if the power goes out is a bonus feature! So far, I've had no problems with these clocks. My husband's two year old one is working like a dream. I'm putting the extra one of these in our guest bedroom. I'm hoping that I have these for years to come."

"Worked OK for about 3 months. Then alarm would just go off at odd hours. Now it just goes off when it is off for no reason at all.
Nothing about this in Troubleshooting of manual.
Going in the trash. Too bad, good idea but falls short.
Would also suggest they make all those buttons on side and top easier to read. Even with glasses and good light on, it is a challenge."
