"I bought this for my husband for Christmas. We did not try to use it until May. Unfortunately, the unit did not work. Nextar does not have the same service as QVC. We sent our unit to them to be repaired, and never heard from them. I'll never buy from them again."

"I bought this for my ex-husband (from our daughter). He appraises houses and finds this very helpful. Great for me too cuz he lets me borrow it when I go out of town!"

"This thing is all you really need. I laugh at all the people that are paying 3-500 dollars for a GPS. I have used this for about 6 months now, and it gets me to anywhere I need to go. It doesn't have some of the fancy features that the more expensive models have, but it works great and it's all you really need. I love it and I use it all the time."

"The first time I used this system, I was directed to go several miles out of the way to get from my work to home. The main highway was not even recognized by the Nextar. Even after getting within a mile of my home it was still directing me to U turn. The usermanual states that known routes can be updated by logging into the website - was not able to do this AT ALL. Once when on a road completely unknown to me, the power went out!. Had to drive for several miles before the unit would pick up a signal it could use. Wish I could trade this in. Even though its supposed to use the same satalite signals as other units, this unit is NOT user friendly."

"DON''T WASTE YOUR MOMEY ON THIS GPS. IT IS THE WORST ONE I EVER SEEN. I KEEP PUTTING MY HOME ADDY AS TEXAS AND IT KEEPS COMING UP THAT MY HOME ADDY IS IN CALIFORNIA. I WISH I WOULD OF SENT IT BACK, BUT I JUST WASTED A $100 ON THIS DARN THING, WHEN I COULD OF TAKING THAT MONEY AND EITHER BOUGHT A BETTER GPS OR PAID SOME BILLS. AND AS FAR AS GETTING ANY ONE FROM NEXTAR TO HELP YOU WITH IT, YOU MIGHT AS WELL FORGET IT. THEY HAVE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NEXTAR ITEM."

"I bought this item for my daughter for Christmas. First of all, many highways and areas not even in system. She then pressed the screen and it cracked in Feb. She was upset because the system took so long to come up and she was lost. She called manufacturer and they said there was nothing they could do with a broken screen. I wish there was below ONE star rating!! Do not waste your money!!"

"After reading the reviews,I have to say that I would not purchase another nextar GPS. I have purchased both a 3.5 and a 4.3inch separately because even though I had no problems with it for about a year,My car charger cord refused to work after awhile .I needed to be able to plug it in in the car and use it for hours, not just for 3 hours that it lasted in a car charge. I then tried the updated 4.3 screen and the same thing occurred after awhile with the D.C. cord They dont work being plugged into the cigarette lighter. My 2 units did have a little slot at the top of the unit to slide the stylus into. I dont know if my 3.5inch is the same a the one QVC offers as I got mine on the other shopping channel when they first came out.I did use it to go from tennessee to Disney World with no problem,but then again It tried to turn me into undeveloped land. I took it to an electronic repair and they changed the fuses,but it still doesnt work. I received both an AC cord and DC cord with both of mine and SD cards. No more nextar,their customer service wasnt very helpfuleither.The last thing I need to do is purchase another GPS but it looks like I will have to. I will have to use these for short trips of less than 3 hours so I can charge them up at home."

"I returned this. The speech is muffled when you turn up the volume. It kept needing to be rebooted and then finally stopped working all together. Needless to say I was out of town when it decided to die on me. I was not a happy camper!"

"I purchased this to replace another GPS. I thought I was upgrading. Boy was I wrong. My old one would reroute immediately if you made a detour. This one takes forever to reroute and will continuously tell you to make U turns. Also, I was dissappointed that it didn't have one of the POI that my old one did. I didn't use this enough to realize I should have returned it. That's $100 down the drain! Hopefully QVC does not restock this item. If so hopefully everyone reads the horrible reviews this one got!"

"I didn't even get done paying the easy pay payments and this stopped working. Cuts off after 10 seconds to 2 minutes. It stopped working when I was far from home, at night and I FREAKED OUT! if I knew this was such a cr@p*y gps, I would have printed out directions from the internet for backup! what a waste of money.
I owned a GREAT GPS for 2 years but it was stolen from my truck so I replaced with this one- I SURE hope this one gets stolen so the criminals will be disappointed like me."

"I bought this as a gift for my son. He received it on Christmas 2008, and it worked beautifully for 3 months. Then the speech became garbled, and eventually quit altogether. I went to the Nextar website and found out the M3-06 GPS has a year's warranty ON PARTS ONLY! After 90 days, you have to PAY for any repairs to the unit should it need a repair. There is no way to figure what the labor cost might be, so you might end up paying for the unit twice. And you have to pay for the shipping. Not such a good deal, if you know what I mean. I have a TomTom myself, and it has been flawless for more than a year. Spend the extra money and get a TomTom or a Garmin. They have been around a lot longer and everything about them is better than Nextar."

"We purchased this as a TSV in November and used it in December for a trip to Florida. It worked great. We recently moved to Florida and have used it around town for everything and have no problems. It tells us the distance and I have never heard it say "stay on this road for a while" like other reviewers have and street names are all there and spoken properly. I don't know what the others are using their GPS out of the car for buy I have not worried about battery life. We just leave ours plugged in on the stand provided while we use it. If we move it to a different vehicle, it stays charged all day for us. My husband had never used a GPS before and now won't leave without it. He is hooked."

"I purchased this GPS system with the intent to use it on an upcoming trip. First of all, you need to charge it, but it doesn't come with a charger, so you need to charge it in the car. Secondly, the plug did not stay in the adapter, so the system would shut off periodically, unless you held it in with your hand. It also was difficult to program with my hometown/address. I tried to use it on my trip, and it was useless; kept falling out and turning off. Needless to say it is going back. I bought a Garmen and plugged it into the car, it automatically knew exactly where I was and it does not shut off. Pay the extra money and get a Garmen."

"Nextar promises updates. NOT TRUE. I bought this in December 08 and the software on this system is already over a year old and there are no updates available. Spend the extra money and get a GPS from a better manufacturer."

"this is very cute, easy to read. i am a traveling nurse and i have been using this on routes that i already know well to see how accurate it is. i would say you get to where you want to go about 70% of the time. IF you know exact address of house / business you are looking for and if you are IN TOWN. in my case the county i live in has gone to all new 911 adresses and so nothing is updated as of yet. it doesn't seem to send you shortest OR fastest route but will get you in the general vicinity of where you want to be. Would not trust alone at night in a strange town though. this is my first gps system except through verizon telephone (it wasn't much better) so i am noy sure if any of them are truly reliable. i would suggest to nextar they have a holder of some sort for the stylus. already lost in the car. if you have time to play with it.... you may can enter enough info to get where your going. you get what you pay for."

"I purchased this for my husband for his Christmas present and he loves it! He drives an 18 wheeler and he says it is the best thing that I have bought for him. He says he wouldn't travel without Olga (we have nicknamed the voice). This GPS gives you step by step directions, so I am not sure what happened with all of the other reviews. All I can say is this, you must read the directions first. If you don't, it can be a little confusing. After skimming the directions, it was easy to use.
I loved this unit so much that I have just purchased my second unit for my car. We have used this on several trips in the car, but my husband uses this GPS on a daily basis and has had NO problems what so ever! This is a great unit for a great price!"

"We purchased this around Christmas because we were going to be traveling a lot. We went through the state of Florida and I just entered the address' and put them in my favorites and away we went. We drove 3,475 miles and it was great. We are currently on a trip to Arizona and have driven over 2000 miles and getting ready to head home. My parents were looking for one so I was checking it out on line when I read some of the reviews. We are very happy with ours and are thinking about buying another one for our parents."

"I just recently purchased this system because of the price. I wasn't trying to spend a lot of money and I tried it out the first day I received it. What a Joke!After putting in my destination, I couldn't pull up any maps, the battery didn't last a day after removing it from my car and there was no place to put the stylus. What do you do with that? The only time I heard a voice was when it said "you have reached your destination." After reading some of the reviews on this system, it is apparent to me that there are a lot of unhappy customers. Anyway, I wasn't impressed with that I received and I do plan on returing it."
