"I love this clock!! I sleep really hard sometimes and have been known to hit the wrong buttons on my alarm clock and turn it off when I think I'm hitting the snooze button. With this one (only when you set the buzzer, not the radio) all I have to do is wave my hand across the face of it, and it goes into snooze mode! By not having to touch the clock, I no longer turn it off by mistake.
I read somebody's comment that said this clock isn't up to date on which dates to change for Daylight Saving Time; mine changed right on time, first Sunday in November, and the box says it will change again the second Sunday in March.
I bought the previous version of this clock last November, but I'm much happier with this one. The radio sounds better, and the buttons are easier to press down. I don't know if my other clock was defective, but I had to press really hard to keep the numbers moving when setting the alarms. A change to this version that I DON'T like is that there's now a little red light that lights up BENEATH the names of the days of the week which are printed way down at the bottom of the clock face to let you know what day it is. That's a really worthless feature if it's dark in the room because you can't read the days of the week, so it's like that little red light is pointing to nothing. The previous version had the names of the days of the week light up so that you could read them in the dark. Also, the buzzer on this one isn't quite as loud as the last one. I like the way it starts out soft and then raises in volume, but they really should have made it louder for people who sleep soundly.
All in all, though, I really like this clock. It is so wonderful to know that it will always wake me up on time even if the power goes out during the night. It resets itself just as advertised. The question below that asks "Who would this be a perfect gift for?" should have a response to select that says "Everyone!"."
